Our practice nurses are highly trained and experienced and run daily general surgeries by appointment at Port Isaac, Wadebridge and St. Kew. They also hold specialised clinics in asthma, diabetic care and coronary heart disease. They are supported by two health care assistants who run phlebotomy clinics.

Community Nurses

The community nurses specialise in the provision of essential nursing care in the home. They are at the centre of our health care team and also work from the practice premises. The nurses specialise in wound management and leg ulcers. They run a specialised eldercare service and an innovative falls prevention programme. The nurses can be contacted via our reception staff.

Health Visitors

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.
